Articulating tactics, strategies, transformative strategies and politics at the movement level
Fighting a global socioeconomic system requires a globalized and globalizing strategy process, and global and globalizing organizational structures. This means we need to invest in the coordination capability of our movement(s) in order to build, decide, articulate and feedback on coordinated tactics, strategies and grand strategies.
This webinar is about learning from past and present coordination experiences with invited organizers sharing their experiences and lessons drawn.

Miguel Montes, from Academy of Democratic Modernity that through exchange of experiences and dialogue wants to create mutual understanding and collective consciousness. In doing so, we aim to overcome ideological divides and bring our shared values and interests to the forefront. We want to create an awareness of the historical and global interconnectedness of all struggles against exploitation and oppression in order to help our struggles worldwide gain new strength. Only the connection of local work with a global perspective can open a way out of the crisis.
For the unfolding of the democratic and the overcoming of capitalist modernity, concrete local and global institutional structures are also needed. In this sense we consider our activities as a contribution to the building of Democratic World Confederalism.

Socialist Movement of Ghana (SMG), established in the mid-1990s in Accra, Ghana is a forum for the discussion and mobilisation of local and international issues by left-leaning organisations and individuals. They are also part of WAPO, a network of Pan-Africanist formations, political parties and broad anti-imperialist and progressive movements across West Africa drawn from organized labour unions, farmers, women movements, youth and cultural organizations.
