A strategical conversation with book presentation and exchanges on strategies to prevent climate chaos. João Camargo and Thibaut Cantet will be hosting this session.

This will be one of the sessions of Rencontre Europénne and is organized with ATTAC France.

Thibaut Cantet is a french organizer involved in climate and social justice struggles. He co-founded Dernière Rénovation, a civil resistance campaign and supports groups globally with facilitation and trainings.

João Camargo is a climate researcher and climate justice and political organiser. With a background in agrarian and environmental sciences, he first worked as a journalist before teaching chemistry and botany at the University in Mozambique. In Portugal, he was heavily involved in the precarious workers and the anti-austerity movement in the early 2010s. In 2015 he co-founded Climáximo and he’s currently living in Brussels, where he does comunication work full time, while organising international coordination efforts. He also coordinates RipplEffect. He’s a revolutionary ecosocialist.
